Nepalese Thai Boxing Team to Depart for Bangkok

The Nepal Thai Boxing¡ Association’s team is departing for Bangkok, Thailand, on Friday to participate in the 2nd Thai Martial Arts World Championship. The team consists of six members, including four male athletes.

Nikesh Tamang will compete in the 51 kg category, Raju Rai in the 54 kg category, Sabin Rai in the 57 kg category, and Ramesh Pandey in the 63 kg category.

Nikesh is the gold medalist from the previous edition, while the other three athletes will be making their debut in an international competition.

The team leader is the Association’s Chairperson, Namaraj Bhandari, with Shyam Krishna Basnet serving as the official. Chairperson Bhandari shared that the competition, scheduled from March 12 to 22, will see the participation of approximately 57 nations.
